Prior to starting WJ Tech Security, Mr. Jones graduated from the US Army’s School Cyber Center of Excellence and served in the military as the security manager for the state of Kentucky Army National Guard. In this role, Mr. Jones was tasked to with being the head of the CIRT team and security SME for any related IT projects. Mr. Jones specializes in building and managing team in incident response, cyber operations, threat intelligence, and digital forensics. Mr. Jones holds both an MBA and Master of Science in Cyber Systems with a focus in digital and mobile forensics and has received multiple high-level industry certifications such as- CISSP, GCIH, CySa+, CASP+ and many others from (ISC)2, SANS Institute, Microsoft, CompTIA and EC Council.

Furthermore, while being in the army, Mr. Jones in the private industry is credited with creating multiple cyber security and incident response plans for various Gov Cons, legal and banking firms across the Midwest of the United States. He is currently working with top IT leaders and officials in various countries in Tanzania to help serve a more secure infrastructure for their respective businesses developing partnerships with bank-mobile fraud, physical security, risk, and legal teams. These efforts led to the successful identification of key threats and protective measures for the firm’s most sensitive assets and initiatives.
